ImageThere have been quite a number of reggae presenters in the country but none as politically conscious, versed in history as well as current affairs and dedicated to the African course as Blakk Rasta.

Yes he can be trivial and unduly controversial such as preferring to call birth anniversaries “Earth Days” instead of “Birth Days”, listing the top ten candidates for hell and sharing his sexual escapades with his listeners but the fact that when Rasta travels or is indisposed a proper replacement cannot be found for him underlines his importance at Hitz 103.9.

On his “Taxi Driver” programme he commands a huge following and is well respected across board thanks to his superb music selection and segments such as “Black Sense”, “shocker Box” and the “Boiling Pot”.

As a musician with 8 albums to his credit and monstrous hits such as “Barack Obama”, “Miss Right” and “Kwame Nkrumah” Blakk Rasta has proven that he cannot be ignored, a fact which his employers know too well.
