Rapper, Edem

ImageAs if in answer to the bashing he received from his fans and critics for the “over again” video shot by Nana Kofi Asihene, Edem has come out with a sizzling video which can hold it’s own against any competition anywhere.

The track and video making the rounds is “not on my level aka heyba” and to make a strong statement, it is to video gurus Phamous Philms that Edem turned to and the result has been impressive indeed.

Giving a boost to Edem’s origins via tourism and education, the video opens with some Volta towns such as Keta, Kpando, Afifie, Hohoe, Klikor on a map. The employment of African symbols, carvings, writings, animals such as lion and tiger in the video is quite pronounced.

The video really arrests attention with its paranormal features of a lady ascending to the skies, skeletons dropping, sweaty warriors drumming, women being possessed and Edem taking on some characteristics of a lion to assert his supremacy.

But as if to diffuse the paranormal scenes, there is a lot of colour blended in, where location and costume help to balance the video and lift spirits.

It is a solid outing for Edem, surely to remind all, it was he who brought us impressive videos in Legacy ft Tinny, “nyornyovide”, “bra freme” and Volta regime.
