ImageIt is a bright idea to be associated with something so it appears rapper EL is going with Ghanaian actors and actresses. This time around it is Adwoa Smart and veteran Fred Amugi who feature in the Kaalu clip.

That EL is steadily building his brand and music is there for all discerning people to see, for he gained attention with his Obuu mo clip ft Henry Harding aka Papa Nii. In that particular clip a Bentley was turned into a taxi.

One cannot help but notice the humour in the music and videos as well as the execution of interesting concepts such as Ghanaian ladies wearing African print dressed as geisha girls dancing as well as the use of topless macho men carrying drums.

Perhaps the part where Fred slaps Smart could have been edited to avoid any feminine agitation but there is no doubt that EL has arrived.

EL’s choice of musical titles is quite something with Obuu mo and Kaalu being some of them with Don Dada ft Edem, Song for Japan ft J-town, Turn your lights down low and one Ghana being some of his other works.

EL has taken pains to make interesting music as well as going an extra mile to shoot very catchy videos which help carry his music far, I can only hope the sound engineer cum rapper has more surprises up his sleeve.
