ImageThere has been raging debate about the appropriateness of gospel artiste collaborating with their secular counterparts to give fans some good music. I do not believe the issue really is about the practice but the persons involved.

In the course of time there have been secular artiste whose music have truly touched lives whiles some gospel artiste have not had that impact. It is true artiste like Celion Dion, Kanye West and a host of others have proclaimed their working for Satan, and others through deeds and manifestations have clearly shown where they stand, so it becomes controversial when a gospel artiste supposed to be working for God and Jesus collaborates with such persons as light has nothing in common with darkness.

But who can have qualms with many of Kojo Antwi’s lyrics, Trigmatic’s ‘My Life’ track, Lumba’s gospel track, some of Lord Kenya’s songs and the general rich and wisdom filled songs put out by our High lifers. When a secular artiste does not go overboard in being overly vulgar or explicit in his songs and deeds I believe such a person can work with a hypocrite free gospel artiste to impact society.
