Two young men captured the minds and hearts of many Ghanaians into mainstream music with their inspiring and thought provoking lyrics.
Michael Oware Sekyi Jnr and Moses OK were a regular staple in the worship diet of believers with OJ dishing out ‘nya waye’, ‘afe sesee’, ‘halleluya’, ‘eye mmere’ whiles OK delighted with ‘meda woase’, ‘oni me hwamo’, ‘nkakra nkakra’, ‘osoro taweikyi’, ‘nea waye’ among others.
I know as believers they are ministering on the gospel circuit but mainstream society badly needs their insightful music. They proved music doesn’t have to be loud and abrasive to be enjoyed. With their mellow and well arranged tunes they had a place in the hearts and minds of music lovers and there is no better time to go back to the studio and prepare wholesome gospel music for the soul of believers as there is hunger and thirst to be quenched.
