101_9541Here he lays, Kekeli the farmer
Lying restfully without a care to cries, wails and talking
He may wake up, if he so wishes
But alas Kekeli, if you won’t wake or can’t, fare thee well to the great beyond

Kekeli, your instruments are at home
They will soon rust
Kekeli, your wives and children are at home
They will soon famish

You who dared the forest and took from it bush meat, herbs and fruits
And won many admirers
Lie here, unable to make a baby’s sound
Rest in peace good friend, rest in peace
