trafficsSome workers in the capital have expressed grave concern over the man hours spent in traffic before getting to work and after work. They contend spending about 4 hours in traffic has dire consequences on productivity and health as most workers are exhausted before they go work hence making them less effective.

The workers wondered why successive governments after the first administration have not pursued alternate means of transport such as rail, water and air transport to augment road transport which is largely depended upon.

They called on government as well as other businesses with the financial muscle to look at the transport situation holistically and address it’s many problems such as potholes, unmotorable roads, lack of streetlights among others.
