Noted sound engineer and Presidential hopeful in the impending MUSIGA elections Appiah Dankwah simply identified as Appietus has expressed satisfaction with his campaign and readiness to lead the musician’s union.
According to Appietus, he had visited all the regions excluding Brong Ahafo which he has penciled to visit today.
“I feel enough has not been done to advance the wellbeing and interest of Ghanaian musicians, I pledge to advance the union and generate funds for the body” the father and husband noted.
“I believe in what the delegates have told me and I have hope to even move mountains in Jesus name. I am in to win” the ‘mujebaya’ singer declared.
Asked by Peace FM’s Kwesi Aboagye if he had given money to induce the delegates, a fumbling Appietus reasoned “If delegates think of self, receive bribes and vote for candidate who give the largest cash, they stand to loose as that candidate shall recoup his investment and even take profit when he gains power.
“Rather the message of the candidate and his credibility ought to be the measuring rods” the studio owner intimated.
The MUISGA election is scheduled for the 29th of October in Koforidua barring any last minute injunction placed on it by a disaffected candidate. Appeitus is in the run to be the new president.
