The former Black Stars striker comes in as a replacement for Dauda Luthurodt who was sacked together with his head coach Herbert Addo prior to the end of the season.

Preko, who doubles as the deputy trainer for Ghana’s U20 team (Black Satellites) is expected to commence duties by leading the team in their preseason activities.

He will soon be joined by his head coach who is expected to be named by the Phobians in the coming days.

Reports indicate that the Rainbow Club are in advance talks with Medeama SC coach Tom Strand to take over the coaching role at the Club.
