After Hearts of Oak coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi’s post emerged detailing his refusal to accept his belated February and March salary citing a need for his assistants and players to also get paid, blakkpepper.com is informed a crunch meeting involving coach Kenichi and management is underway to iron out differences.
Reports had alleged that coach Kenichi had blocked Hearts authorities from paying his outstanding two months’ salary into his Unibank account demanding a 100% pay increment. But Kenichi perhaps sensing a need to put his side of the story out took to social media platform Facebook to set the records straight refuting claims he demanded a pay increment stressing that since joining the Phobians his pay has always been $2000.00 and that he found it prudent for management to pay outstanding salaries to players and other technical staff before insisting to pay his hence the refusal.
Hearts of Oak which had a good run of form has recently lost games including getting bundled out of the MTN Football Association (FA) cup by Samatex.
Communication man for Hearts, Larbie Opare Addo speaking to Starr FM opined he is constrained to give details about the ongoing meeting but observed it would be unfortunate for anyone to say the club’s recent poor run could be as a result of the outstanding salaries. He stated plans were already afoot to settle the outstanding fees by close of the week.
Hearts of Oak are set to play WAFA, midweek and then Ashgold before facing arch rivals Kotoko in a crunch game.
