Nat King Cole

Nat King Cole is without doubt the Greatest ever singer and voice that I’ve ever laid my ears on.

Born Nathanial Coles in 1919, Montgomery, Alabama, USA, he would inspire a whole generation of vocalists across many genres and beyond. Nat would also master the piano to telling effect and in actual fact, started out as a major pianist in his teenage years, and would play it throughout his illustrious career.

He was a world icon at a time in the 1940’s and 1950’s when racism and segregation was rife. He endured racism, but was well loved all the same.

He sung ballads like no other and used his warm rich perfect tenor/baritone voice to the most profound effect.

None could dress like Nat Cole and he exuded charm, good-looks and charisma.
