Ghana’s Andre Ayew was named Swansea’s Best Newcomer at the club’s end of season awards gala on Wednesday.

Ayew has scored 11 goals (with one match left in the league) for the Swans in his debut season in England after arriving from Marseille in the summer.

He became a fan favourite with his performances scoring against Manchester United, Chelsea, West Ham and Liverpool.

His efforts were duly rewarded by the fans who chose him as the best new player in the team.

He also won the top scorer’s award together with Gylfi Sigurdsson.

However, he missed out on winning the best goal award after Jack Cork’s lovely curling shot against Liverpool was judged as the Swans’ top strike of the season.

Ayew had two nominations in the category.
