okwame2Even as the gospel fraternity painfully embraces the demise of gospel music strongman Danny Nettey, hiplife icon Okyeame Kwame has described the late singer as one who will always be remembered for his solid voice and the musical support he gave many.

“He was very gentle, kind, respectful and I remember we used to be on the same record label back in the late 90’s because we all had the same boss.

“The first time I saw him was in London where he had come to sign his contract and we had a one on one interaction but it didn’t last for long and after that I saw him a couple of times and used to call him big bro” an emotional Kwame submitted to 3news.com.

The late Danny Nettey is reported to have died in his home at dawn on Friday after being found unconscious at 2am. He was confirmed dead upon arrival at the hospital.
