50pBooze, roasted corn and 50 pesewas were all involved in the deaths of two friends, 30-year-old Obolo and 29-years-old Kennedy in the farming community of Asuadee on Monday.

The two buddies had gulped bottles of beer at a bar and were returning home when a series of curious happenings deprived the two men of their lives.

Still on the journey home, Kennedy’s sister who roasts corn had her wares displayed from which Obolo took one of the corns worth 50 pesewas.  Sarah demanded her money, Obolo disregarded her infuriating Kennedy who attacked him with blows, Obolo threw his own blows.

Suddenly Obolo fell unconscious and died, Kennedy regretting the development escaped only to be found dead the following day near a bush.

The cause of both deaths is being investigated but that is how booze, roasted corn and 50 pesewas conspired to deprive Obolo and buddy, Kennedy of their lives.
