ecElectoral Commission (EC) workers are demanding an allowance they’ve termed ‘Unsociable Allowance’ explaining because their job is critical, staff of the EC are constrained in their social life for fear their every action could be construed to be a position of the commission.

The workers want a 50% allowance of their monthly gross basic salary adding those officers who use their own vehicles attending to duties of the commission because of lack of officially designated vehicles must enjoy a 30 gallons of fuel package to mitigate the dissipation of their funds.

In a leaked internal memo destined for the Fair Wages Commission, the workers submitted since by the very nature of their work, they cannot even openly chat with friends, visit public arenas and generally have a jolly time, they deserve to be compensated.
