Ghanaian-Lebanese pilot and author, Fadi Daboussie has been granted a self-recognizance bail after earlier being detained by the Bureau of National investigations (BNI) for authoring offensive articles against the person of John Mahama.

His latest book ‘59 years of Ghana to Nowhere: The future is Now’ believed to contain scathing information against the president is said to be reason the BNI captured and detained him on Friday upon arrival from an Egypt Air flight from Lebanon.

It is understood Fadi Daboussie was released on Sunday perhaps to quench the emanating pressure coming from a group aligned to the New Patriotic Party which had planned a protest march at the BNI premises as relayed by Hopeson Yaovi Adorye.

Mr. Dabboussi’s house was reportedly ransacked with copies of the contentious books taken but the bureau has since returned the books.
