Former Ghana International, Michael Essien may just have to call time on his plying career after Panathinaikos released him.

The former Chelsea enforcer has seen his stock drop and even at the Greek side, his input was minimal.

The 33-year-old reports suggest has set his eyes on the Austrian league but even this looks unlikely and the man fondly called ‘The Bison’ has revealed should this latest move fail he shall call it quits.

Essien together with Muntari and Stephen Appiah oiled the Black Stars’ midfield impressively and at a point was touted the most formidable in the world.
