Organisers and engineers erecting platforms and putting in logistics to make the 2016 NDC Manifesto launch a success can only hope that the Sunyani Coronation Park won’t become too soggy to warrant a shift in venue which could disrupt the flow and beauty of the launch.

The National Democratic Congress might have settled on the Brong Ahafo Region as its manifesto launch region for many reasons not least that first lady, Lordina Mahama hails from the region and by implication can sway crucial votes for presidential candidate and parliamentary ones but intermittent rains in the area since Friday is hampering preparations and threatens to force a relocation of the launch or even postponement.

Even journalists assigned to cover the event have had to seek refuge under canopies mounted at the park awaiting the clearing of the skies.
