The Ghana Army’s Public Relation’s Officer, Colonel Aggrey Quarshie has debunked assertions that the army is compiling voter details of soldiers to be used in rigging the December 7 polls in favour of the ruling government.

According to Colonel Quarshie, details of soldiers who will do special voting because of being on duty on Election Day are requested to present their voting details so as not to be disenfranchised.

He said for this to happen, the voter details have to be presented and forwarded to the electoral commission but there was no plan for soldiers to be influenced as to who to vote for.
