Black Stars Assistant Coach, Maxwell Konadu says the only way to earn the love of Ghanaian football fans is to win the Africa Cup of Nations to be staged in Gabon.

He acknowledged strides the team has made with World Cup Qualifications and reaching semifinal and final stages of the AFCON but observed apathy of the fans since the Brazil fiasco can only be cured by winning the ultimate cup in Africa breaking some 30 years jinx.

Mr. Konadu also revealed the players were acutely aware about what must be done to woo the fans once more given the poor showing in Accra and Kumasi.

Meanwhile ex Black Star player, Nii Odartey Lamptey has opined that the handlers of the Black Stars and stakeholders including the Football Association, players and Ministry must have an honest discussion on the wage of the players so a compromised position can emerge to bring sanity in the game as its common knowledge some Ghanaians do not even earn $10,000 in a life time so the issue must be delicately handled.
