The Convention People’s Party (CPP) presidential aspirant has declared that his government will reassert control of the country’s resources to offer equal opportunities and equitable distribution of wealth.
Addressing party faithfuls and other observers at the Ghana Academy of Arts and Science in Accra at the party’s manifesto launch on Saturday, Ivor Kobina Greenstreet disclosed that between 2010 and 2015, Ghana under the hybrid system has earned US$3billion as revenue from its oil and gas sector but under the Production Sharing Formula, the country could have earned US$10billion implying US$6billion had been lost through the adoption of a bad system
Mr. Greenstreet maintained the CPP remains the only vibrant political party to replicate Ghana’ glory days stressing his government will offer free education for medical students at the post graduate level to curtail brain drain in the field.
The manifesto is termed the ‘Apam Foforo’ or new covenant.
