‘U sey weytin’ man Zigi real name Kweku Sarpong Plahar has returned from his hibernation promising to dominate the Afro-Pop sphere since he was sure of his quality.
Young Zigi had great hopes especially when his ‘U sey weytin’ song enjoyed much popularity but noted he didn’t enjoy financially and despite a Ghana Music Award for best Afro-Pop song, his record label Lynx entertainment failed to renew his contract.
According to Zigi, that episode led to a bout of depression leading to a 4 year break from music to think, strategise and bounce back on his own terms.
He thanked his family for their support despite their earlier aversion to his music career choice.
Zigi now runs a music studio where he’s pledged to spoil fans with his music as he’s packed the songs for their listening pleasure.
He feared Mzvee’s songs were becoming stale as Lynx Entertainment, his former label lacked the depth to propel artistes after the initial years.
