Pursuant to Article 82 (8)(2)d of the Constitution, President Akufo-Addo has appointed 11 people to serve as Council of State members who are mandated to offer advice regarding governance of the state.

The new members include Togbe Afede XIV, Stanley Adjiri Blankson and Sam Okudzeto.

Inducting them into office, President Akufo-Addo informed the inductees he didn’t crave praise singers but persons whose counsel will be frank and in the national interest.
