The sixth suicide case within the last three weeks has been recorded, this time involving 25-year-old lady, Liticia Amartey who lost her life on the compound of the Ekye Amanfrom Clinic in the Eastern Region.
She was found hanging on a rope by a water reservoir at the clinic in the Afram Plains South District.
It’s also emerged Leticia had been treated for a mental issue but her husband had gone ahead to divorce her and the rumours suggest, that might have led to her taking her life although investigations by the police needs to be conducted.
Meanwhile the deceased is said to have been taking care of her sick mother at the clinic who had been brought to the health centre after she collapsed and she had visited her at night before dying.
Series of reported suicide cases has rocked the country with cases recorded at New Tafo in the Eastern Region, the University of Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and Achimota.
