Reports in certain quarters of the media had claimed that Dome Kwabenya Member of Parliament (MP) and State Procurement Minister, Adwoa Safo had impressed upon President Akufo-Addo to rope in the Kantanka vehicles for official use.
Given that the Kantanka vehicles are manufactured by a company his father owns and managed by his brother, some observers assert it was a conflict of interest for Hon. Adwoa Safo to make the “demand” in a purported Facebook page.
But a stunned Adwoa Safo has reacted to the alleged claim explaining in a letter that she did not make any such post on her Facebook wall noting “I do not bear the name Kantanka. Besides, my name ‘Safo’ is not spelt with an ‘r’ [Sarfo] as depicted by the impersonator.”
According to Madam Safo, she has taken steps to rectify the situation by notifying the proper authorities and further urged media outlets to verify their sources before publishing reports about her on their platforms further warning impersonators on social media to desist from their criminal act or have themselves to blame.
