Retired Black Stars and Bayern Munich player, Samuel Osei Kufuor will lay his deceased mother, Gloria Abena Ateah to rest on Saturday, April 29, 2017 in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi.

Kufuor has praised his mother for financing his footballing career early on when cash was hard to come by. The mother who bought into his son’s dream is said to have sold personal effects to cover the boots and jerseys Kufuor need before having the big break to travel abroad.

After a short illness, Madam Ateah died in February.

A three-day burial rite has been scheduled for the fallen mum starting from Friday, April 28, 2017 to Sunday, April 30, 2017.
