Revellers having tough time waking up after the Adonko Bash

adonko-bittersBusiness organisations can be cunning and the Angel Group of Companies proved to be such a brand when it staged its annual Adonko Aseda Bash at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

Although the Angel Group of Companies, which operates Angel TV in addition to manufacturing herb flavoured liquor, Adonko Bitters did not charge an entry fee to the stadium, it cunningly obligated attendees mostly the youth to purchase a bottle of Adonko Bitters liquor at GH¢10.

The effect, after billed artistes and other entertainers including Shatta Wale, Bisa Kdei, Ofori Amponsah, Agya Koo and Afia Schwarzenegger had long taken their cash and moved to their bases, hundreds of revellers according to on Easter Monday were still in a drunken stupor and lying on the pitch and other surfaces having consumed copious amounts of the bitters.

With its tagline “Adnko fa mi ko o, fadei ….. (Adonko take me away)”, the patrons were truly taken away on the night.

Stadium authorities are also peeved organisers of the show breached an agreement to stay off the pitch so football matches can take place without hitch.

The penalty is for the Angel folks to cough up GH¢5,000 or have their impounded vehicles and equipments stay in custody till they defray their debt.
