Burna Boy

It ought to have been simple enough, contacting YFM’s Vision DJ requesting permission to sample his 2016 hit single ‘Grind’ for his own tune but failing to do that, Nigeria’s Burna Boy has confirmed the assertion of some who believed he lacks enough gas in the tank to run the full course of a music journey.

Choosing to call his supposed new work ‘Chillin Chillin’, Burna has the star of the song rapper A.I’s hooks and raps only adding a few words here and there.

When A.I voiced his disgust on twitter, Burna blocked him and any other fella outing him on the thievery. Eventually song owner, Vision DJ also submitted Burna didn’t obtain permission before releasing the supposed new song which had large portions of ‘Grind’.

With Burna in need of a hit given Davido, WizKid and even Phyno having good runs, it remains to see if he can dig deep to offer something truly stellar.
