Kofi Kinaata

Hiplife gem Kofi Kinaata has revealed that he felt cheated when he was not nominated for Artist of the year at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

The ‘Susuka’ hitmaker, known in private life as Martin King Arthur, expressed his disappointment in an interview on Happy FM‘s drive show Ayeeko hosted by DJ Advicer.

“I felt cheated in this year’s Ghana Music Awards because how can I be nominated for highlife song of the year and also songwriter of the year and not be nominated for the biggest category of the night which is the artist of the year? That was really disappointing.” Kinaata told Happy FM.’

He debunked claims making rounds that there was a rift between him and Pappy Kojo.

“People think I have a beef with my fellow Fante brother who is also in the game, Pappy Kojo. In fact he was my neighbour back in Takoradi and we are good friends,” he said.

The rapper who is out with his new single added that he was looking to work with Nigerian artist such as Wizkid, Davido and Phyno.
