Notable Ghanaian telco, Vodafone Ghana has held its yearly Vodafone X Planet party for its youthful subscribers.

At the La Tent DC yard at Airport City in Accra on Friday, November 3, 2017; energetic males and full-of-life damsels made their way to the plane turn restaurant yard where they danced, quaffed, nibbled on chops, sang along to tunes issued by the DJ while mingling and making new friends.

Doreen Plange, the Marketing Manager for Youth & Progressive Segment at Vodafone Ghana was in session for the 2017 edition of the Planet X Party, the third since the roll-out of the Vodafone X package 3 years ago.

“Vodafone X is a movement for the youth aged 14 year to 24. We value them so we offer them innovation, prepositions and engagements that appeals and excites them and makes them happy to be with us,” Madam Plange submitted to blakkpepper.

She pointed out that every year; Vodafone Ghana puts together a party to celebrate this segment of its market rendering: “On Vodafone X, you cannot escape the excitement, massive offerings, amazing offers, free calls to other Vodafone X lines, data allocation and free SMS.”

The Marketing Manager for Youth & Progressive Segment stressed: “We are number one because they choose us. Also because we co-create with them and listen to their insights. The ‘Insomnia’ all-night movie session is an example of responding to the youth’s feedback.”

But that’s not all. According to Doreen Plange, November will see the roll out of a new product for Vodafone X users branded ‘Shakes’ to commemorate the third year of Vodafone X’s emergence.

‘Shake’ is an innovation that will allow Vodafone X customers to purchase bundles, enjoy free data and weekly rewards by simply shaking their device. Vodafone X customers will receive additional data weekly when they buy their X bundles. Thousands of customers will also win free airtime, free music content and tickets to various Vodafone programmes including Insomnia.
