The Member of Parliament for Abetifi Constituency eager for Kwahu to be a viable tourist destination away from the Easter period has staged the ‘Bliss on the Hills’ concert from Sunday; December 24 to Tuesday December 26.
Although local musicians felt slighted for not making it to the event’s poster, it did prove to be a hit with music lovers in the region.
Liwin was on hand to entertain the gathering dishing out his popular tunes including the much beloved ‘Ladder’ tune aided by energetic dancers.
Shatta Wale also made it the ‘Bliss on the Hills’ event delighting the audience with his volume of songs which frankly seem inexhaustible.
Then there was Stonebwoy who put in a decent showing as did Kofi Kinaata who no doubt are building their resume for consideration at the VGMAs.
Some 30 musicians were reported billed for at the three-day music festival including highlife greats Amakye Dede, Nana Ampadu, Aberekyereba Kofi Sammy, Nana Tufuor.
Gospel soldiers; S.P Kofi Sarpong, Nacee, Kojo Ampong, Piesie Esther, Nicholas Omane Acheampong had their turn on the 25th while Patapaa, Shata Wale, Ebony, Stonebwoy, Wutah slugged it out on Boxing Day, at Abetifi.
