Ebony in middle

We are aware that dancehall notable; Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng alias Ebony Reigns truncated her secondary schooling at the Methodist Girls’ SHS.

Ebony had stated in an interview that given schooling was to equip people to earn decent jobs and earn an income, she reckoned dropping out of school to pursue her musical ambition was a better way to make fabulous money.

So truncated her formal schooling was but there’s little doubt that by meeting Bullet who became her manager; within two years, she had become a musician in demand with talk she could scoop the Artiste of the Year award at the impending Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

All seemed to be going well till tragedy struck on Thursday 8 while returning from visiting her mother at Sunyani.

//On reaching a section of the road between Nyamebekyere and Nsuta, there was a heap of sand in the lane of the Jeep which was being used for the road maintenance, and the driver in trying to avoid running into the sand, swerved onto the opposite lane and grazed the nearside portion of the bus and plunged into the railings at the edge of the road, killing the three other occupants identified as Francisca Nkansah Kuri aged 27 years, Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng [Ebony], and Lance Corporal Vondee Francis Atsu, aged 29 years.//

Her onetime school mates have been sending their condolences and offering pictures of the times they shared with her.
