Ghana’s two reggae/dancehall heavyweights appear to have put the quest for supremacy behind them and united on stage to rally their teeming fans for peaceful conduct ahead of Ghana’s 2016 general election.
At the Trade Fair Centre in Accra, venue for the 2016 and 3rd edition of Emmanuel Andrew’s annual SAMINIFEST event, multiple popular tune bearer, Emmanuel Samini and in-demand Shatta Wale put up a charged performance delighting die-hard fans who braved the rain to behold them.
At the event on Saturday, December 3, while performing their hit tunes together including ‘Linda’ and ‘Moko Ho’, a grand announcement was made by Samini that fans can expect a music collaboration from the two even adding a world tour was in the works.
Amid ‘Wale, Wale, Wale and Samini, Samini, Samini…” chants from fans, the two dancehall leaders stressed the importance of peace and love at this crucial period.
Other artistes who performed on the night included Ras Kukuu, VVIP, Eye Judah, Stonebwoy, Kwaw Kese and Rudebwoy Ranking. Show was emceed by humour man DKB.
