Kochoko Reggae activist and radio presenter who was invited to the Ivory Coast’s biggest arts and entertainment festival has left a memorable impression on festival attendees and organisers thanks to his explosive display on stage.
The Zylofon 102.1 FM presenter was guest of International Artistic Committee (Cai) of the Arts Market and the African show (Masa) were notable singers, dancers and theatre people are availed a platform to showcase their creative gifts.
The 10th edition of the cultural spectacle got staged from March 10 -17, 2018 in Abidjan and had 65 artistic groups in session from 5 continents.
Blakk Rasta aided by his Herbalist Band thrilled fans to music from his repertoire and as the only artiste from Ghana billed to perform on the main stage (MASA), Blakk although booked for two shows ended up doing three because the fans could not have enough of his vast music and energetic antics.
A positively stunned President of Cai, Mrs. Korkor Armateifio; a Ghanaian herself remarked “I have never seen Blakk Rasta this explosive. I could never have enough of him. He was awesome and made us proud.”
Another admirer, the National TV RTI boss, Hassan, submitted: “Oh my God, Blakk Rasta is the best for MASA 2018. No challenger. His drummer is also crazy. The band is wild. I want them back in Cote d’Ivoire.”
And for Blakk himself, he opined “We’re glad our widow’s mite was worth it. To Jah be the glory.”
