In response to why the African continent has been mostly abused even throughout history, Françoise Marie with a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Syracuse University and now a Program Manager submitted the following?

There is no why because it is not true.

Some Africans and Afro-descendants cannot help themselves playing the victims constantly because of the slave trade (Atlantic, Trans-Atlantic, Trans-Saharan etc.) and all the horrors and humiliations of European colonization in Africa.

Yes, Africans, we may have fallen as a people, continent and empire. But once upon a time, we sure ruled the world.

The Golden Age of the African Moors aka Berbers and the Conqueror of Spain, Berber General, Tarik. There were Moorish rulers on European soil from 711 to 1492 longer than any European power had a colony in Africa. Moorish presence is recorded as far as the Swiss Alps where there is a famous Monte Moro Pass.

Axum, one of the greatest empires of the ancient world and her iconic ruler Queen Sheba. Queen Sheba ruled over parts of Southern Arabia.

The splendor of Egypt and the military successes of Pharaoh Sesostris III in Asia and Europe. Egypt was for thousands of years ahead of most of the rest of the world.

Meroe whose queen Candace defeated Alexander the Great in 332 BC.

Kush whose queen Amanirenas defeated the Romans during an epic battle in the Sahara.

The Golden Kingdoms of medieval Africa (Ghana, Mali, Songhai and Monomptapa). They had so much gold they controlled large segments of the Gold Trade. Their rulers traded far and wide. The richest man in world history is a Malian King, Mansa Musa.
