Mikel Arteta speaks to his Arsenal boys via AP

January paves way for the selling and buying of football players. With this, teams are busily looking out for players to augment their squads or sell out not so needed players in their teams to other teams.          According to Arsenal’s coach, Mikel Arteta, the club’s priority is that some players who are surplus to requirement must either be sold or go on loan in the January transfer season for acquisition of new players.

He said given that the club has a large squad, sustaining the numbers has become expensive. “We cannot sustain the numbers that we have in certain positions and we are looking to doing that and then we will see if we have the right opportunity in the positions where we need some help,” he noted.

It could be recalled that, in the summer of 2020, goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez and Heneikh Mkhitaryan left the team permanently. Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi were also loaned out. Shkodran Mustafi and Mesut Ozil, who have not been used this time around, are likely to leave Arsenal and look for greener pastures elsewhere. Sead Kolasinac has also agreed to temporarily join Schalke.

Now the questions on the lips of the supporters are that which players are going to leave the team as well as come in?  We will furnish you with the information as and when they come so stay tuned.
